Dowsing

A science ignored but recognized and practised since thousands of years

I am called Jean Claude Audigier and I am Radiesthésiste, Magnétiseur and Waterfinder. I have create this site for all those which wish in knowing more about this science often badly known

The teaching case

This card follows upon several interviews with Mr Audigier, radiesthesist with Vals the Baths and the reading of documents on the research of water by the radiesthesic methods. The man always lived where water was, dabord close to the sources visible then with the top of the invisible sources (well). To find this water, it for a very long time practises the dowsing, formerly called the rhabdomancie. The term became dowsing thanks to the Bouly abbot celebrates waterfinder. It comes from Latin radius (ray) and the Greek aisthésis (feeling). Generally, one defines the dowsing as the science of the perception of radiations emitted by nature. These perceptions become visible thanks to the pendulum or the rod which are the two most used tools (there is the different one). The research of water is only one of the possibilities of the dowsing but it concerns us more than the other applicability. This is why after a general presentation we will limit ourselves to the activity of the waterfinders.

I - HISTORY OF The RADIESTHESISTS

Drawings on the walls of the caves make it possible to think that the prehistoric men sought already water using rods. In year 2200 AV, the emperor King Yu in China had become Master in the art of the rod. The Egyptians also left in Their tombs of the tools which let think that they used this technique to find water. The rods were usually used for the divinations, moreover it is told that when Romulus decides to found Rome, it asked a étrusque omen to define the zones to him where the influences were most favourable. The Roman armies were déplacaient with their waterfinders charged to find water necessary to the troops.
With the Middle Ages, the dowsing is seen arranged in the practices of sorcery, the rods and the pendulum was regarded as instruments allowing the exchange with the devil, the users were pursued without respite. In spite of that, the dowsing continued to progress for finally obtaining the right of city towards lc XIXème century. In XXènie century, the field of study of the dowsing continued to extend and made many followers.

II: - SEVERAL POSSIBLE APPROACHES

When the radiesthesists speak about their gift, several explanations are given. Part of the radiesthesists consider that it is the fact dune intelligence higher at the origin of all creation. This intelligence shows its reality thanks to their intermediary, it is it which provides them information concerning research that they have to carry out. Everyone can communicate with this intelligence that depends above all on level cd. spirituality and wisdom reached by the person considered.
Another part of the radiesthesists consider that the phenomenon is scientifically expliquable but, there too, it exists two approaches: the physical dowsing in which the thought does not have any action, it is the system neuromusculaire which collects the waves. and mental dowsing based on the instinct and which calls upon the will and certain faculties of our spirit. The two processes remain in any event unconscious. In this second everyone approaches can practise on the condition of knowing to concentrate its spirit and of entrainer sufficiently.

III - the EMISSION Of WAVES

In nature, all vibrates and nothing is continuous. The whole universe is a tangle of variable vibrations lengths. Certain waterfinders say that in practice of their art, they call upon a sixth to see a seventh direction which remained atrophied at the man always unutilised bus. This direction enables them to collect the waves emitted by the objects. The nerves lead information to the brain which interprets them. Some is interpretations which one can give to explain such phenomena one can retain that the dowsing is art to bring the light what is occult with normal faculties of the individual, but whose existence is real.

III: - INSTRUMENTS OF THE WATERFINDER

The rod and the pendulum were a long time the essential instuments of the waterfinder. Formerly, to seek water this last cut a hazel stick in the sufficiently flexible shape of fork not to break. It was to make 30 to 40 cm length with a diameter from 3 to 5 Misters Actuellement, one uses the rod in pennon of whale which breaks less and polarizes automatically after some uses. Indeed, the polarity varies from one individual to another.
The pendulum is more precise than the rod. One can define it as a metal body, of wood or crystal., insulator or subjected to gravity and mobile goshawks of a fixed point. I.~ pendulum weighs from 30 to 80 gr. and measurement approximately 15 cm. Dimensions and the materials used are not very significant. What account is especially to work with ' ses' tools because they end up forming a unit with the user. The witness. He constitutes a third tool for the radiesthesist but it is not at all essential. It is acted in fact of a sample or the representation of what one one seeks. The use of the witness is based, either on the principle of syntony (harmony of the radiations emitted by two identical bodies), or on subjective phenomena. The witness does not have a value that if it is considered with a mental convention at the beginning, i.e. a concentration of the thought on the object.

THE CALCULATION OF THE RESULTS

There too the opinions are divided on the interpretation of the results. According to whether one regards the dowsing as a "material" science or the revelation of a higher intelligence, the comprehension of the results differs. In the first case, various rules, boards and graduations make it possible to define the depths, the distances and the flow for example from the source which one found. In the second case, information is more direct, the radiesthesist knows them as if they had been said to him. The localization of the underground rivers is given initially by the rods and the pendulum for more precision. It is then necessary to determine the depth of it.
The old ones used a simple principle which consists of the mental repetition of a metric scale (lm, 2m, 3m...). the pendulum sarrête to balance when the distance in meters depth is exact, then the répttition of a centimetric scale to give more precision to information. This method can be adapted for the search for other information such as the temperature of thermal springs. The principle of this method is not explained but gives undeniable results. The calculation of the flow can be calculated according to the more or less significant oscillation of the pendulum or on the energy of the changes of the rod, but also according to the number of revolutions of the pendulum or according to unc mental scale.

V: THE TELERADIESTHESIE

The teleradicsthesy is the remote dowsing on plan, charts or with witnesses (photographs, wicks etc...). The radiesthesists them even are divided on the origin of their gift. Some consider that only some people are able to work remotely, others consider that the process is identical (mental convention): Some is the opinions, it is recognized that the teleradiesthesists are rare, that that requires particular aptitudes and especially much of work and perseverance. The téléradiesthésic cannot be carried out under the constraint and requires a "confidence" on behalf of the applicant and the researcher. it goes without saying that the teleradiesthesist can practise only because it has an intangible faith in this qu it makes. The teleradiesthesy undoubtedly establishes the link between the matter and the spirit, many is the people who deny the existence of these phenomena but the facts are there that one can note.

CONCLUSION

The research of water by the processes radiesthesic and especially teleradiesthesic make it possible to open the reflexion on the close relations between the man and his medium, the spirit and the matter. The lapse of memory of the existence of these close connections is at the origin of the degradation of our medium of life. It is more than urgent to act. The protection of the water resource is of a vital nature for all the alive beings. By his wasting and his negligences, the man is spirit to cut the branch on which it sat.
